I'm trying to put my 65 chevy truck on 62 short box fram back together.My cousin gave me this truck about three weeks ago in boxes and I wnt to put all the parts together to test fit everything before I take it ll apart for paint chrome and powdercoat. I need to know the correct size bolt for the upper coil spring mount.Thanks Justin

The upper and lower rear coil spring retainer cups have weld nuts in them. The correct bolt size will thread into these weld nuts. Do you have the coil spring retainer cups? If not, a complete set, including the upper and lower cups and the necessary upper and lower hardware, is $20.00 + tax + shipping from many of the aftermarket parts suppliers, including:

Yea I've got everything but the bolt.My truck was litteraly given to me in boxes lol should be quite the challange to get it put together to check the fit of everything before I blow it apart for paint powdercoat and chrome.

Anyone know the size or know where I could look it up. I really want to put the backtogether this weekend so I can roll the truck around. Thanks Justin

The coil spring retainer cups have weld nuts on them. Take a cup to your local hardware store and find a Grade 8 bolt that will thread into the weld nut on the factory coil spring retainer cup. If your cups don't have weld nuts, then purchase bolts, nuts and washers that will fit into the hole in the center of the cup.

Forgot to mention it was the top coil mount. bolt is on the frame. Dug around in a box of bolts i got with the truck and found the right ones. Thanks.
