Hello from England,

I have a 1955 first series, could someone tell me where the Brake light switch is please.
Are there any regular "look here first" areas
I would be greatful of any help.

Laine,

Look on the engine side of the firewall. You will find a switch like this mounted to the firewall, behind the bar down to the master cylinder. The lever on the switch moves when you press down the brake pedal.

Don’t know for sure Tim if the brake light switch mounting is the same but here’s a picture of the one on my 1950, 3600.

A picture is worth a few dozen poorly chosen words.

Good picture, as usual, Denny (it's the same from 47 to 55-1st)
