That's pretty. One question, did you reduce the size of the oil lines coming out of the block, or is it just hard to see they're 1/2 fittings?

If you did reduce them, why? Courious is all.

I'll bet it runs as good as it looks. Good work.

That is a thing of beauty! Congratulations!

I love the aircleaner, what is it off of and where did you get it?

The vette split manifold and polished offy dual intake look great!

Nice touch with the machine turning on the acorn nut valve cover!

The PCV set up coming off a later draft tube wth a glass bowl fuel filter inline (to trap condensation I assume???) is beautiful!

What carbs and tranny are those?

That's beautiful. My guess is that it is a pre-'58 261 (smaller oil filter lines/holes).

Please answer the questiona above, especially tell us about the air cleaner and carbs that you are using.

Is that an oil filter behind the alternator?

Electric fuel pump?

Very nice. Makes want to reconsider selling my 261 and putting it in my Suburban.

Here is a closer picture of the oil lines:

Oil lines

It is a Frantz toilet paper filter.
The intake line is a bit smaller (6 mm) than the outlet (8mm). It is a bypass filter anyways, so I reduced the intake line to maintain oil pressure.

The Aircleaner is a Hillborn style scoop out of an ebay speed shop. It has two round standard paper elements inside.

@NM51 You have eagle eyes. I cut the draft tube away and fitted the PCV line. The condensator glas is a modified fuel filter bowl. I will fill it with sileca gel to gain some economy.

Carbs are progressive Holley/Webers, tranny is a 1959 maunal 3 speed with overdrive.

Since i want to keep everything 6 volts I use a Ford 6V overdrive solenoid.

Yes, electric fuel pump. Block off plate is of a big block grin

Here I got the idea of the PCV condensator glas:
http://www.condensator.com/
or search for "PCV jar" in google.

Here is the Frantz Filter page:

Wow! That's the first Frantz filter I've seen installed in about 30 years.

Great looking motor. I can hardly wait to hear the reports of how it sounds and drives.

Looks great !

Those PCV lines look way too skinny to properly vent the crancase tho' .'

Probably a dumb question. But where does the line go from the intake manifold?

I have the same on my offy intake I'm not sure what that is for? Vaccum?

It's the vacuum port that runs the wipers and the Hydro-Vac(if eqyipped).

Mugsy here are the guts:

bore 0.06 over, head and block milled (head is a 848) compression 9.2:1.

Langdons Bulldog cam, solid lifters, Ford (I confess it) valve stem seals (umbrella type).

Still thinking about the exhaust. As you guys can see it has a corvette style split exhaust header.

Right now I have two 2.1/4 inch pipes all the way to the back with 2 flowmasters.

I belive that the pipe diameter is to much and I loose low end power. What diameter was the original corvette Inline 6 pipes?

Thanks, Frank
