hey guys, 20amp in-line fuse from dashboard toggle switch to positive on battery for my ignition blew. 10guage wire (HEI mini from LANGDONS STOVEBOLT)..I just changed the distributor module, went to start it, and the inline blew. Anything to be concerned about? should I use a higher amp fuse? a 30amp? '57 235cui

That seems like a lot of current to me. I definitely would not put a bigger fuse in.

Has the system been operating normally before the module change? It sounds like you've got a dead short somewhere, or maybe an incorrect wiring connection. It's not unusual for a HEI system to draw lots of primary current, but a 20 amp fuse should carry the load OK. I'm not familiar with that system- - - - -which distributor and module does it use as the basic unit?

I would check everything for a short somewhere but I would never put a fuse in an ign. system.
