The bulge in the side cover plate is over this hole. There is no threaded hole at the end of the cam bearings like on a babbit 235. thanks | | |
#61632 06/12/2006 6:51 AM | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | 1958 is the first 235 without the steel tube behind the side cover, the oil now comes up the new cast in center oil galley. The plug blocks the hole the factory used to drill the oil passage and restrictor. You will need to use lifters with a wide groove on the outside also.
