i am wondering why they sell a specific grille support panel for a 63. I am buying a 63 this weekend for parts and one part i need is this support panel for my 1965. does anyone have some thoughts on if it will work or not.

I think the grills had a different bolt pattern. The 63 grill was only made for one year. Whereas the 64-66 mounted the same. You could use it, but you would have to drill it out to mount the later grill on tghe earlier support panel.

The only difference is the bolt hole locations, as jon1963, so the '63 grille support will work with your '65 grille.
