would a 3 or 4 speed transmissin from the 53 match up to a 350 if not, what would i have to do On of the things i was wanting to do is keep the push button starter in my floorboard and it be operational can this happen for me?.As far as the front and rear end i wanted to go to disc breaks is this possible, is ther another option? is there another option on the transmission. this all goes to keeping the out side of the truck original but the underneath to fit a daily driver

Hy attaboybigen75, yes the transmission will work with a V8, there were no stock V8 foot activated starters, but you could rig up something to mimic the appearance and function. As to disc brakes, kits are available from different suppliers. As to options, there are always options on how to do any part of the work you want to do. A little research on your project will answer some of your questions.
