Ive had this hood for a while with hopes of someday getting a late 40's year truck. I decided to sell it but a few people have mentioned that the hood is for a 38 truck? Or even a 38 Buik? I've compared, and it doesnt match? Would really like to positivley id it so I could sell it to the right person. Below are a few pictures of it. Thanks in advnced for your help. Pic A Pic B Pic C

Gmc had different bottom panels for those years, but the tops should be the same. | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | ahhh - thinkin of Tiny's car and lookin at the title of your pics [39chevhood] reminds me the car did have those square slots, hidden by long trim pieces - like this 39 - sides don't look the right shape, but might be some Chev car Bill | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,781 Master Gabster | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,781 | I agree with bdsd: It looks like a 41-47 chevrolet truck hood. Not sure if it's for a big truck or 1/2 ton. You can identify it for yourself by gong to [font:Arial Black]pictures found in the gallery[/font] I sent you a PM with another picture. Post this in the parts for sale section. | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 59 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 59 | Bill, Thanks for the tip on the htt thing. Gotta go back and change a few others. Linkies r workie now. I looked around a bit also, It aint no 38. Sides too tall. I would like to post, but as you can see, Its getting a little difficult to ID it. Maybe I'll leave it up to a buyer to figure it out. jk | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 507 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 507 | it's a 41-47 first series hood.
