This was the first I've heard of it. I've read Mustang II and 1970 to 1981 Nova/Camaro front clips with 11" spindles are wonderful. Anyone have experience with installing an 1984 Chevy truck front clip? | | |
#61413 06/07/2006 5:04 AM | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | Have put several but had to use the van front crossmember for the 55-59, pickup too narrow. Pickup fits 47 to 55 1st with a 1/2+ spacer. On the 55-59 the frame will need to be massaged a bit at the rear of the crossmember for clearence. You can use a rosebud and a BFH or just slit it and move it in so little that you can't even use a filler plate, just weld back together. In either case, wheels with custom backspacing are needed or the tires are out from under the fenders
