I finally, after a dozen years, put an authentic ignition switch--with backing plate--in my '50 3100. What I can't figure out is what goes around the key tumbler that's sticking through the hole in the dash? It looks unfinished, just the tumbler sticking through the hole, but I can't find any part in any of the parts catalogues (American Classic, Jim Carter's, et al) that address this. Any help? Thanks.

The word I'm looking for is "bezel". Was there an ignition bezel for 47-54 trucks? thanks.

You're double posting, might get some of the guys in an uproar, have some patients.
No there was no bezel, they just fit real poorly.

...certainly don't want to get some of the guys in an uproar.

Oh no sweat, you won't, most of us here have a pretty thick skin. But I think you're gettting a pretty good responce over on the other thread now, it just take a little time.
Most of the questions that I've asked over the years eventually got answered, sometimes you have to wait for the guy with the answer to get back from his fishin' trip.
