I got a 261 inline six from a 1960 Canadian Pontiac. There is a bit of dark greem paint still on it. Does anybody know what that color is called and where I can purchase it. Thanks Gord

If the Canadian Pontiac 261 green is like the USA truck 261, green:

Alpine Green - some people say that Detroit Diesel (Alpine) Green is a good match. - available in Canada.

The Alpine green is like the color on the valve cover. The engine has reminants of a darker green more like Hunter Green. Thanks

If they painted the engines in Canada the same way they were painted in the USA, the same color would be used on the entire engine (valve cover down to the pan). Over the past 50 years that engine might have had a few rebuilds/repaints.
