Hello everyone..I have not posted here before, but have read many of the post and have found them very interesting and helpful. I am about to install the TCI MII on my 58. If I install it by the directions that came with it...will the wheel/tire be centered? Someone told me they moved the crossmember forward 1" to get the wheel centered. Has anyone done this before?

I haven't done a MII, I stubbed my 53 with a Nova subframe. I did add about 1 inch to the wheelbase. Now my truck is so low in front that the 225/70R15 tires rubbed the fender braces, when I made sharp turns. I ended up going with 215/70R15, and 4 1/4" back space on the wheels. So I would advise you to use the original front centerline, might save you some wheel/tire clearance problems down the road. A Taskforce may have more space than the AD?

I installed the TCI M2 in my 55 2nd series. Just followed the instructions and everything lines up perfect.The only mods.I made was to cut one coil off of each spring,so the truck is low and has that sassy look.And with their front end you will find a phone no. for customer service. If you have any problems give them a call.
