For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 | took off sunday morning from spickard mo and headed to turon kansas. bad weather. lots of fog. took a while to get there. but brought this back home... http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad263/bluecarpenter/2010-01-17135408.jpghttp://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad263/bluecarpenter/2010-01-17163316.jpggot home monday morning at 1 am. What i want to know is will some of the parts from my 64 fit this truck. looking at some of the parts in the cab such as the instrument panel and heater ect. guess most of the dash. I'm got a 250 with 4 speed tranny to drop in it as it doesn't have a motor just tranny and transfer case. it is going to be a farm truck so i need to get it going before summer. Will the bed from the 64 fit this one also? thanks mark | | | | | Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 | Heater and dash pieces are different. The 250 will need new motor mounts and MIGHT have some clearance issues at the radiator, but you won't know until you do it. That's a nice looking K-20. Keep those "20" badges safe. They don't repop those. I hope you find the headlight covers for that '62. It will definitely make it more unique with the correct grille treatment. You just don't see a lot of '62's. You don't see many K's. And you don't see many 20's. Good for you. There was a pair of NOS fenders on eBay the other day for around 800 bucks for the pair. That's a good deal. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2578304020054213402wSjlLJ

i may be talking with tony smith in kc to find out a few more things about it and the 64. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 | bluecarpenter:
Congrats on the score. Let me know if I can help you. I have a few 4-5-6 Chevy 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks at my shop with factory running gear, so I have lots to look at and compare. Give me a shout, e-mail or come by the shop sometime. | | |
