The catch plate (striker) attaches there - ribbed plates go between the catch (striker) and the cab.
1952 doors should work fine in a 1950 truck. You will need a catch (striker) that matches the year of the latch- mechanism in the door.

I would assume you are wanting the wing windows? I have had them both ways but my hand would hit the post on the way out because the glass is too small. Last year we would have told ourselves no because of the NSRA staying pre "48" but now who cares? Have fun and keep rollin.
