The photo where the guy is drilling and tapping for a drain plug shows the governor. All of the Warner transmissions used in Ford, Chev, or Mopar used basically the same governor. However on some, the driven gear was a little longer than others. http://www.hydratech.com/pctc/Public_Documents/bwrebuild.pdf The bottom picture that shows the transmission from the rear shows the governor on the passenger side.

However on some, the driven gear was a little longer than others. thats what i origionally thought, but after finding and buying an early non syncro 4 bolt governor.. i found it to not be the correct size. i learned that around 64-65 the governor faced down (fitting issues with the tunnel)was still a cast looking piece with a metal top and smaller threaded portion. now that seems to be what i am looking for | | |
