(NOTE: the truck is a civilian body)The truck is R/H drive but built in the USA for export during WWII with black out lens and GI light switch. the model is 4409-JOB 31W.
What I am looking for is the correct Year/series the engine number BFR496988 l believe is the original. The first ID plate USA has 1338/1339 for maintenance and parts
the 2nd plate is Holdens Body numberB736.
If some one could help to find out where it was built also that would be great

I can't help with your questions but I just wanted to say we are burried in 20 in. of snow & below zero temps. Practically the whole country is haveing tough winter weather. We can't hardly work on our Stovebolt's. I suppose it is sunny & warm there.

you are correct, many Canadian Chevs came out here, as they where part of the Commonwealth, so had less tax than the imported Chevs from the US.
For many years they where called maple leaf trucks.
