ok. After taking the tach out, it is a suntach de-6 for 8cyl engine w/12volt made in april 64. The wiring is totally seperate from the harness, so it is fairly simple. The tach is grounded through the dash, the power wire (left side of tach is looking at back) plugs into the fuse panel, and the sensor wire connects to the neg (-) side of the terminal on the coil. The light plugs in center and install is complete. I got a tach out of a two ton truck and converted my factory warning lights to factory gauges. Sum paint, polish and tlc...and they look great. Ive got the air gauge also...tryna figure some way to rework it to read vac instead.
