When driving over 50 for about 3-4 miles I begin to hear what sounds like a stuck lifter. If I slow down it goes away. Normally around 30 pounds of oil pressure, but drops to almost nothing when at idle after running the same distance. Any ideas as to what my problem is?

It's not a permanent fix, sort of a "band-aid on a brain tumor" type of thing, but it might avoid a catastrophic engine failure until you can get around to a complete overhaul.
