The rocker panel and step, mine requires replacement.

Someone suggested lifting the cab by the roof. Anyone done this? Indicated from side to side.

What year truck?

I replaced both on my 57 and didn't lift the cab.

Where were you supporting the cab from, while replacing the rocker and step?

Mine is a '58, Fleetside.

I'm with Alan, best place to have the cab when replacing the steps is bolted on the cab mounts .... before .... after - no need to mess with anything else if you're not doing it anyway

I agree I replaced lower door post and steps one side at a time I braced the cap as well with angle iron to keep it square. Doing one side at a time lets you make measurements and produce a final product that looks like the factory job. Good luck
