I know there is one for the chevy 235. I was currious about the interchange. I have also seen a 1 piece seal listed for the 302 millitary engines. Is this seal any good, and will it work on a civillian engine?
I am not opposed to using the rope seal, just wanted to know if anything is better. | | |

But I have a question for you: What year is your 302 GMC? I have read/heard reports of 302's in trucks and school buses as late as 64. Military maybe even later. I thought for years that GMC dropped the inline 6's when they debuted their new V6 in 60. I know they starting offering the Chevy 230/250 inline 6 as a lower cost option in pickups in 65-66. Do you know anything about that? Thanks.

I got it from Tom Langdon several years ago. It still hasn't been fired up. I haven't checked the date codes but it is a sidemount compatible engine... gmc 55-59. I will be replacing the timing plate to use the stock mounts in my 1940 gmc. I have also got a new set of slugs to bump the compression to 9:1. email me off line and I'll answer any questions you have... if I can.
