Since the weather is not conducive to out door work, I decided to pull the turn signal unit out of the truck, bring it inside, clean it up and tag the wires for reinstallation. Now every thing I’ve read and all the wire diagrams make it clear that there are only seven wires on the Signal-Stat 900. Mine has the seven shown on the wire diagram, plus four more- white--white/red--white/green--and red/green. Supply power to one white wire and they are all hot. Supply power to the red/green wire and it powers both front signals. My question is; is there a practical purpose for these four other wires in our old trucks (‘53)? Could the red/green wire be used to convert the front turn/park lights to running lights? Basically just curious. Thanks.
