I don't want to change lights as I pull it with my other pickup too. Didn't know if there is a voltage reducer that I could put inline at the back of the truck or not. You would need to increase the voltage not reduce it. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 | I ment to say increase it. Tried a little last nite but was getting tired. I wasn't sure if it would work and wanted to get someone else's take on it.

They pull more current as the voltage drops to maintain output voltage.

Probably the easiest solution is to use a set of temporary trailer lights and change the bulbs to 6v. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 | I'd try it. I've pulled 12v trailers with my 6v truck, but they had incandescent bulbs. I was actually surprised at how well it worked, I figured that the lights would be very dim, but were as least as bright as the ones on my truck, and in fact the flasher still clicked at the normal rate.
I'm not sure how the LEDs would react, but give it a try, and let us know!

I hate doing much when it is 10degrees out. but i have been working on my truck getting other stuff done that needs to be done. bbbuuuurrr. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | The handy thing about working in the cold is you don't feel the "busted knuckles" until you are warming up in the house! | | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 | The handy thing about working in the cold is you don't feel the "busted knuckles" until you are warming up in the house! you can say that again. still working on one i got from hooking up the wiper motor a couple weeks ago | | | | | Joined: May 2012 Posts: 1 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2012 Posts: 1 | working in the cold is you don't feel the "busted knuckles" until you are warming up in the house! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- led strip lights 12vLED Panel Light wholesaleT5 LED Tube manufacturer
