If it has been a long time you might want clean it out a bit before deciding.There are several previous posts about freeing up an engine with various oils and solvents. I would consider doing this even though you can get it to spin, just to get the crud broken up and everything lubricated. When it seems to spin freely, do a compression check to see where you are before you decide.

I can get it to turn wen I pull it or wen I put 12v to the starter. One thing that makes Me leed to just doing a swop is I'm not doing a restration job I'm "hotroding" it to some exstent. and I would rather put preformance parts on a 250 or 292. | | |
