I searched and couldn't find anything on this. I'm doing a frame off 56 3100 and just got all of the lines installed and they fit perfectly, but the fittings for the rear hose and two front hoses aren't correct. I have no idea what had been done to this stock all drum. truck to begin with. When I first got it, I made it run and stop with parts that were available from FLAPS a few years ago. I have the correct lines, but the hoses aren't the correct size for the front or rear. I have 3/16 line going to all cylinders. Is this correct to have this small of lines to all of the wheel cylinders. I do have a 1/4 feeding the T on the right frame. What are the correct sizes for the front hoses and rear hose? I'm needing the wheel cylinder thread and line end on the three. The way it is, I'd need 7/16 on the cylinder end and 3/8 on the line end. Long story short. Is that correct? I would think they would be the same, but.

Hy aggieranch, I know you won't want to hear/see this but I think the truck should have been plumbed with 1/4" line. The flex lines for the front are 17 11/16" o.a.l. and have a 7/16" X 20t.p.i. male thread on one end, and 5/8" X 18 t.p.i. external thread, and 7/16" X 24 t.p.i. internal thread on the other, Raybestos p/n BH4900. The rear hose is 16 7/8" o.a.l. and has a 7/16" X 20 t.p.i. male thread on one end, and a 7/16" X 24 t.p.i. internal thread with an external horseshoe clip slot on the other, Raybestos p/n BH4497, hope that helps.

That's not what I want to hear. I got the brake lines from the most notable tubing specialist, the 3/16 lines did screw into the two rear and the T block that mounts to the right frame rail. I'm confused on the brake flexible hose lines. I'll give them a call tomorrow and check back. Maybe it was the FLAPS thing and not knowing what went on before I started the disasembly. They do offer new stock hoses. I'll ask them if that matches up with their lines and front wheel cylinders. It should.

The pre bent lines were awesome though. They fit exactly.

It sounds like the lines may have the wrong ends on them. A 3100 should have 3/16" all around, the 1/4" line was used on 3200 and larger. The fittings have the same thread size on the front hoses. I actually have 3100 hoses on my 3200, lines fit right up with the larger fitting.

Longbox55 is correct. The diameter of the hard lines for the brakes are different between a 3100 and a 3200 except for the rear axle lines. I went back and forth with Inline Tube for a while on this until finally it was resolved and they sent me the correct lines.

Just a guess...was it Inline Tube you got the lines from?

It was inline tube, and I've used them on many stock applications before except they were cars. Everything has always been great. Of course, I took the shipping bend out of the lines this time where they mark to do so. I'll talk with them tomorrow. They do fit great though.
