The box you are lookiing for is the power steering box from a 1955-1959 gmc pickup. They are extremely rare. I have a 1959 gmc that came with the power steering. The complete system with steering column, box, power steering pump and hoses routinely sells for $3500 US dollars or so on epay, when they turn up. They don't turn up very often. I believe there are several aftermarket power steering conversions available for less bank role. I don't have any experience with the aftermarket PS boxes.

Do you have any parts left over from that 1940 gmc? I am building one of those now. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 15 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 15 | sorry. no parts left. they went with the cab. probably have better luck over on the hambs forum about the steering box but i don't want to start joining every forum. | | |
