Easy for you: Is the harmonic balancer interchangeably between 1954 235 and the 1956 235 passenger engine? The second have big pulley and the 1954 have small one. I need to change the big one because my 1952 chevy truck (with 1956 engine)is overheating. thanks | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 | I want to say you need the 6 7/8" pulley. Are you running 5/8" or 3/8" belt ? I believe they will interchange with no problem.Lets see what the motor gurus have to say. 1951 3100 Chevrolet1951 Chevrolet Suburban CarryallImage"A house is built with boards and beams.
