I want to replace the entire rearend, not just gears. Someone suggested a stock F-150, but I need to know for sure. I would like to use a 3:55~as the little 235 in this truck sure whines at high rpms over about 55mph. Thanks for any help.

Most keep rear end ratios at 3.4 or greater. You will want to pay some attention to wheel bolt patterns. You don't say what is on your front but F o r d seems an unlikely candidate to match ur front. Gud luk.
