I do not know if this is the place to put this but here goes.
I mention here that I was building one adjustable height body cart so anyone with a bad back could work on the floor of their truck without having to bend to far over when working on it.
Materials list will be as follows.
20'11/2" x 11/2" x 1/8" SQ. wall tubing
4' 2" x 2" x 3/16" SQ. wall tubing
1' 3" or 4" channel cut 3" long
4 pnuematic 8" swivel casters with slime in the tubes Harbor Freight item.
16" of 4" x 4" flat 1/4" would be fine althought I has some 3/8" scrape that I made use of.
12" 3" x 3" flat for gussets
4 9/16" or 5/8" grade 8 bolts for pins 4" long with threads cut off.
Rust Mort if metal was rusty.
primer & Paint.
I used left over metal I had to cut the cost when I could.
Cut main 2x2's 12" long
Cut risers 11/2x11/2's 18" long
I also bolted flat pices to cab floor supports 3/16" x 11/2" one on each corner so when you move the cab you have less chance of it falling off the channels. one hole is 1/4" the other is 5/8" slid over the pins.
If you were going to use this for different trucks I would make the main frame adjustable too by adding 11/4" x 11/4" tubing inside the 11/2" tubing and using 1/2" bolt and nut combo to tighten it down.
NOTE on the 60's trucks the cab floor supports are not equal with 9" differental front to back.
