I have 3 gas gauges for my truck (38 GMC) I want to make sure the one I use is good. So with an ohm meter I put one probe on each post and should have about 30 ohms correct, or should it read something else. Thanks in advance

Later gauges were 30 ohms. Best way to check the guage is to hook the hot side of the guage to the pos. side of a 6V battery and the other side of the guage to a known good sender. Then connect the guage case and the sender ground post to the neg side of the battery.
