I had to have mine replaced about 1 1/2 years ago. Just switching to a hydraulic clutch would not make it any easier to push down. I don't know of any assist system available. The clutches we get know are pretty soft. I don't know how old yours is or how hard it is to push down. Some of the throwout brg. forks have 2 grooves in them. If the wedge is on the inner one it will help to change it to the outer groove.

I know somone makes a electric setup for working the clutch and My son in law had a hyd. setup on His dirt ,oval track car , I think if You go with the hyd. unit You would be able to shorten the pedal to make it easyer and less painful to get on the clutch ,closer to the floor , My knee hurt real bad when I would pull up on it to get to the brakes that was before it was converted to steel , try a dirt track site for the conversions .
