Are they both Chevrolet? GMC has a different front crossmember than Chevy.

That may not be your intention. Frustrated, maybe. Hang in there! Please look at your other post...and give others on the forum a chance to respond. Lots and lots of good "skint knuckle wisdom" on here if you can be patient. As to your basic question, Yes it can be done but the crossmember-bell housing difference is probably the biggest thing.
