DOES ANYONE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO FRAMES:
1.1953 1/2 SHORTBED PICK-UP FRAME.
2.1954 1/2 SHORTBED PICK-UP FRAME.
I WAS WANTING TO PUT A 1954 CHEVY BODY ONTO A 1953 CHEVY PICK-UP FRAME AND I WAS WANTING TO KNOW IF THEY WOULD INTERCHANGE?????????????????
THANK YOU

I answered this is your other thread...

Are they both Chevrolet? GMC has a different front crossmember than Chevy.

1955 1st GMC Suburban | 1954 GMC 250 trailer puller project | 1954 GMC 250 Hydra-Matic | 1954 Chevy 3100 . 1947 Chevy COE | and more...
It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...

Some folks see all CAPS and see that as angry or rude. That may not be your intention. Frustrated, maybe. Hang in there! Please look at your other post...and give others on the forum a chance to respond. Lots and lots of good "skint knuckle wisdom" on here if you can be patient.
As to your basic question, Yes it can be done but the crossmember-bell housing difference is probably the biggest thing.
Good luck smile
