I called Chev's of the 40's and they don't sell reproductions. They DO for '47's but advised me they can't be adapted to work on the '41-'46 cabs.
I am wondering if anyone has spare ones they want to sell (hopefully cheaply, ha, ha)? But more likely, could I make some out of ordinary sheet metal stock? I don't even know what these strips look like, width, length? Do they have any lines, details of any kind I need to hold the windlace?
On the same subject, are there some kind of strips across the bottom of the doors/cab floor to hold that weather stripping?, if so I don't have that either. I did a search on this but came up with nothing. Any help/advice appreciated. Dan

In addition, the ends of the curved pieces are are stamped so the long pieces can fit over. Much easier to find used ones. They're a huge help. Now that I can see them I can check to see what I've got/what I'm missing? I THINK I have the curved pieces installed but aren't those stepped reliefs on the ends (for lack of a better description) supposed to be for the long piece to overlap it? I'm assuming the long pieces are the verticals for the front & back of each door? They meet each other over the center of the door opening, is that about right? Do you have a picture of these pieces installed? You've been REAL help to me. Thanks again, Dan

For those that may come later in search of info, after double checking my cab, there is NO metal retainer strip along the bottom of the cab doorway except the metal transition piece from the flat floor to the rocker of the cab. It is held in by clutch head screws and that piece in turn holds the weather strip that runs across the bootom of the doorway. There is a short approx 3/4" wide flat strip that holds the windlace on the "front" of the doorway - the part where the kick panel goes. And there is another similar flat strip that goes along the latch side of the doorway. Then there is a somewhat similar piece that goes over the top of the door way that interfaces with the long vertical piece I just spoke of and finally there is a more involved part that covers each A pillar adjacent to the windshield.
