On the rear, I'm going flatbed. Can anyone tell me if these will fit in the front fender wells? Will they rub the fender opening? Any other concerns? They will be going on my 49 1 ton GMC | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 . | . Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 | Are they 19.5" tubeless wheels? If so I'm pretty sure they'll fit, I ran 8x19.5 tires front and rear on my 1 ton.

Either way the answer is yes (However probably made by some one else for Chevy who used them as factory equipment on lots of trucks) Grigg | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 57 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2005 Posts: 57 | I've got 19.5 3 piece on my 61 3/4T "next project" truck. Are these unusual? I don't recall having seen them before, and wonder if they'll be useable. Really give an unusual stance to the truck. I've never been a fan of slamming, anyway.

Then call Randal at Central Truck and Trailer (Hagerstown, MD) 301 797 1995 and see if he can order them for you, mention that I suggested you call. I'm asking around now for some used ones, if I find anything I'll send you a PM. Might just be my POS computer. Anyhow, I too am in need of some 19.5 wheels. What's the going price each for them? | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 . | . Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 | The link is the Accuride wheel catalog in PDF. The important part is they are still in the catalog, part number 29015.
Call around and see if your local tire shop can order them, and try Randal at central truck and Trailer, he could order bigger wheels from them, I expect he can get the small ones just the same.

Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 | Older ones can have different numbers of hand holes, I believe I had some 5 hand hole ones once... I'm still looking for used ones for you.
But so long as they roll does it matter? Can you distinguish the number of hand holes when driving down the road?

However, the reason I want to run the 18 inch dually wheels is that I love the look of the eight hand holes on those wheels. While I agree that the number of hand holes does not affect functionally much, getting the right look is a big deal.

I found these 19.5, 5 handhole wheels ... Y'll are talking about the same wheels, note that the ones you found are 10 lug. I'm reasonably sure there are some 5 hand hole 8 lugs out there. There are a few step vans running around here with 8 lugs and 19.5", I'll count hand holes next time I see them. Grigg Actually for a period of time the factory did only paint the outside of the wheel. I recall finding this out while judging at a VCCA meet. Kinda shocked me but the old members in the club verified this.

My truck was bought new by my great uncle in 58.My dad told me the wheels were green and black when new.I also saw a set on ebay some time ago like this. Its funny because the green is almost like a light green to turqois color.(seafoam maybe?)The truck itself os a dark green. Thanks, Jeremy

GMGUY | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 32 Apprentice | Apprentice Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 32 | It seems like the only wheels that will fit our dually 1-tons are the P30 style wheels. Too bad they're so ugly. I've been reading on some of the diesel forums about the possibility of using the 19.5 inch, 8 lug, 6.5 inch bolt pattern diameter wheels that have a large bore diameter (at 4.56" ours are fairly small). From what I understand some guys have made flanged hub "shims" or flanged bushings that take up the space between the overbore and the axle hub. Basically a close tolerance cylindrical shim that takes up the space between the hub and the wheel bore, and the flange of the shim is used as the wheel nut flange instead of the flat circular flange on stock assemblies.
Anyone see any fault in that? The bore of the wheel is loaded in bearing with the hub. Bushings are used all the time in many applications that have the same type of loading. Might make the choices of wheels much more available and abundant.
