I have an NOS switch but the plugs were cut off at some point in time. All I have is about 10 inches of wire (4 red and 1 blue). If anyone has a scan they can send me I'd really appreciate it.

I have just acquired a Signal-Stat 105Y78 Flasher setup (NOS), but it has no wiring instructions. I looked in the Tech Tips and couldn't find the one you're referring to. I'm wiring a 1965 Chevrolet C-10.

My unit has a part number on the original box as #2234058, and the label says it's a Flasher - Emergency Switch for a GMC. It has the following wires coming out of it, in this order:

* Orange: pigtail to flasher unit, which pigtail's to an inline fuse
* Yellow
* White
* Purple
* White
* Light Blue
* Dark Blue
* Purple
* Green

Other than the Orange, which is obviously the power lead, I have no idea what these do. I'd really like to wire them into my harness using connectors like a junk Model 105Y79 I have has on it (got at a salvage yard - was connected to a truck, but never installed in mine), except the "79" has only 6 wires coming out of it.

Can anyone help me?

The dark green, yellow, dark blue and light blue are tapped into the same color wires on the turn signal harness. The white wire of the turn harness is cut and one white wire from the flasher switch goes to one end and the other to the other end. Same for the purple wires. Orange goes to the flasher. "SPLICE WIRES AS SHOWN-SOLDER & TAPE" is on the 1964 instructions. I would solder and shrink wrap.

Hi. Long shot on reviving an old thread. I have this flasher, also with the plugs cut off. I have been puzzling about the 2 white and 2 purple wires. Now I know! So, when it says to splice them into the turn signal harness, I assume this means into the harness going into the plug on the column, not the wires on the column themselves (ie. after the connector)?

So, would it be possible to just twist the 2 whites together and insert them into the terminal in the connector? I ask because I am modifying this switch to use in my 1961 GMC.
