I have been in the search for a 4.56 or higher rear gear. I was reacenly offered by Bill a rear from his K20 parts truck. He is sure the front was a Dana and the rear is a 4.56 Posi Detroit. My question is 2 things, is or will it fit a HO72 and secondly will it fit my DRW axle.

Thanks Everyone for your help to this new young bolter!

If it's an Eaton with the drop out center section, yes it will fit your housing.

What year K20? If it's a '72 or older, it'll work. If it's '73 or newer, it will not, as they used the Corp 14 bolt. Unless you're looking to swap the entire differential, then you could use it.
