Neither one of us is sure if it would be a direct swap. The 261 is in a 59 2 ton truck. I'm hoping the entire package will bolt up in my 48 3/4 ton (I realize I will have to drill holes for the front 'engine' mount). I have not seen the 261 in person but have seen photo's. The crossmembers where the bellhousings mount and the way the bellhousings mount look different between the trucks. Is this swap possible or will it turn into a major headache. I am not a mechanic and this is my first restoration so any help/input would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott | | |
