Does anyone know what color the interior should be from the factory? Did the firewall come black from the factory or was it painted the same color as the exterior? I also wanted to paint the running boards black but not sure if that was factory as well. Thanks.

I have the same model truck. This year was an exclusive color from previous and later years. A slightly metallic charcoal color was used. Jim Carter Truck Parts sells the correct blend in small quantities. Hope this helps.

Ditzler (PPG)31104 (original code)
DUPONT 202-81407
PPG 27467 is supposedly the modern code (offset-code)
Some 1953 cab interiors might have been painted with the earlier interior colors.
