Body a lighter color and the fenders a darker version of the same color. For example Light blue body/dark blue fenders and running boards or a light green with dark green. Was this an option? I know I can do whatever makes me (or rather the Mrs.) happy, however would like to use colors that were from that era. Thanks,Richard

These colors would have been used on 1946 trucks that were sold into 1947. Maybe someone will have paint codes. You could try calling PPG Color Library and ask them if they have the codes and/or modern formulas (information on contacting PPG is at the bottom of the 47-55 Paint Colors Tech Tips).
