For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 738 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 738 | Hi All!
I'm curious what the best lowering spring is for the rear of my truck. I want to get a nice stance, but I still want to be able to use the truck.
I know that LMC has them, but how's the quality?
I wanna start tearing into the truck, but it might have to wait until after I get married next summer...
Thanks,
Kyle

How hard a job was it to put the new springs in?

I ended up replacing the spring caps due to rust but the swap is simple. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,262 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,262 | Be sure and buy the springs directly from CPP. LMC has a huuuuuge markup on CPP springs! I posted data on the bad experience I had with buying springs from LMC here: https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthread...;Words=caveat&Search=true#Post495922 Just be sure to compare prices, 'cause CPP is much less expensive.
