I'm installing my new wiring and wondering how in the heck to run the new wire to the domelight. The old wire is long gone. This looks like a real challenge, any ideas?

Well how are you at fishing? Wire that is - get some steel coat hooks and find holes and stick em in and somehow get em close and hook em together or use string on end an pull coat hook and string thru.

Almost forgot -- undo the coat hooks and straighten they go in a lot better.

An old speedometer cable makes a pretty good fish tape to try to run up through the windshield frame post. You can twist it a lot without getting any kinks. Be aware that you'll prpbably encounter some dead end passageways before the cable finds the right opening. Once it's all the way through, tape a wire on and pull it back through- - - - - -carefully!

A nylon string (braided, not monofilament)can be blown through the hole with air. Then tie it onto your wire and pull back through.

Wire from a wire feed welder works well, too. I found it is easier with the headliner out. You can fish the stiff wire throught the A pillar from the space between the inner and outer roof sheetmetal with the headliner out easier. Onece you get the wire that far, getting ot the dome light is relatively easy. Used the same technique to get the wiring to the radio speakers, which mount in the OE location above the mirror.

Be sure and run two wires for the dome light.

I used an electricians fish wire. A little tricky but works fine. Best of luck.

I spent all day on the dome light but I finally fished the wire through only to discover that the contact for the dome light on my headlight switch was broken. Swapped in a spare headlight switch and voila! Light!
