we are rebuilding the motor and it had to be bored .030 over. how do i calculate the new displacement? its a 1954 235. and we just discovered the head is from a 1956. so any help would be great.

CID = (Bore + Overbore)*(Bore + Overbore)*Stroke*cylinders*0.7854

Stock -
CID = (3.562+0)*(3.562+0)*3.94*6*0.7854 = 235.6

0.030 overbore -
CID = (3.562+0.030)*(3.562+0.030)*3.94*6*0.7854 = 239.6

0.060 overbore -
CID = (3.562+0.060)*(3.562+0.060)*3.94*6*0.7854 = 243.6

displacement = pi/4 x bore[2] x stroke x number of cylinder

pi/4 = 0.7853982
bore[2] = bore diameter x bore diameter or bore squared
