My 65 C10 has a 3 on the tree with headers. The part in question is the clutch control arm. I think that is what it's called. It connects to the frame on one side and the block on the other. When you engage and disengage the clutch pedal it swivels at these points. One appendage on the arm hits (or rests on) the headers when clutch pedal is up. When you push the clutch pedal in, the arm moves away from the headers.

Is there a way to prevent the arm from hitting the headers?

Will this cause a problem for the headers later? I considered putting a dent in the header tube, but that would mean about a half inch dent.

Some catalogs state that the 65 C10 with 3 on tree requires modification to the clutch linkage when installing headers. Does anyone know what that modification is? I may need to perform this mod.
