Is a gasket realy nessary or can I just use sealer. I've done the 420's without a gasket with no problems but this is the first crash box I've done. Did'nt think about doner parts, I've got a tower from a 420 that might have just what I need. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 247 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 247 | If you use silicon for the shifter tower, make sure that you clean out all of the silicon from the bolt holes before installing the tower. I cracked the transmission case on a truck 5 speed one time by not cleaning out the holes. Other then that, it should work good.
