For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | Here's one you don't see that often. I have seen this one for sale before, I think the price has dropped from about $65K 1950 CHEVROLET HIGHLANDER I thought this one would be a good subject/topic on these old woodies. They are just not that common and I have never seen one up close. This one needs some work to make it what it should be, but it looks good in pictures! I dug up this old post COULD IT BE THE SAME ONE? Check out the radio! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 | That's a nice looking truck for sure, however, I'm not as crazy about woodies as others are. The AD series is a very handsome series, but I prefer the regular look.
I don't understand why a vehicle that close to original has a fiberglass front fender. It's like climbing Mount Everest and quitting when you're within easy reach of the top. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 | I saw the 'Highlander' heading and just had to look! I'm with 1953 panel on this one. Interesting and rare, but not my thing..... Nice old woodie though, but pricey! 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. I've definately got this truck thing in my blood ... my DNA sequence has torque settings"Of all the small nations of this earth, perhaps only the ancient Greeks surpass the Scots in their contribution to mankind" Winston Churchill.

I have some of the documentation posted there too. That radio is not an original for sure. I ran across the woody in a little museum/shop in Maine. | | |
