It is my undestanding that most 1 tons came with a sm 420 4 speed, while some of the bigger trucks came with a Clark 5 speed. Could a 1 ton have been ordered with a Clark tranny? I think that the Clark trannys had a standard and an overdrive version. The overdrive 5th gear might be a good way to speed up a truck with a stock rear end. Does anyone out there have, or have used a Clark overdrive tranny?
Thanks,
Chris
