I've never used a Master Parts Catalogs, and I need help reading it.

I'm trying to make sure that all the parts for my carb are correct for it, and I've run across a problem.

http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/1929_57chevyparts/57cmpc0292.htm

Under 3.730 Horn Assembly, most say "w/ main well assembly (stamped XXXX)". Are they describing the number that would be stamped on the main well assembly? or on the airhorn?

My conflict is... that if I use my main well # (stamped 4623) it would leads me to believe that it for a 54-57 COMM UTIL (6 cyl). But If I assume that they are talking about the airhorn number (stamped 4509), it points to a 50-53 ALL w/ 216.

Clear as mud?

No, that doesn't help much....

Look at this, a picture is worth 1000 words.

you'll probably have to zoom in to read the fine print, but it's the best i could do.

Thanks for the help guys

Hy Bryan Buser, the parts book can be confusing, but in this case the description has the words main well support right in it so I would say that is what they are referencing. It seems stupid in the extreme that they would identify two different parts off the same assembly with the same stamped number, but that is just my opinion.
