There should be plenty of pressure and volume from a stock pump for a 235. | | |

You should be able to fix it. The electric pump can be dangerous. In an accident or fire or flooding carb. it will keep on pumping. An oil pressure switch can help.

There seemed to be a weird fuel leakdown, fuel pressure issue that I did not begin to understand.
I installed a inline electric pump controlled by a switch.
The electric pump is used only for pre start and is turned off before the starter is pressed.
The engine now fires on the first turn every time.
