I just recently bought a very nice set of 6 gauges from Chev's of the 40's along with a billet dash insert. I had wanted to restore/reuse my original cluster (and still may in the future) but needed to save some money. This set was on closeout for only $170 and the billet insert ran another $150. I initially opted for the 5 hole panel and was planning on not using the Tach. After sleeping on it, I decided that was stupid and changed my order to the 2 large hole panel (Speedo and Tach) and decided to temporarily mount the other 4 gauges under the dash til I can make a dash extension panel that goers all the way along the bottom, matches the original look and will also contain the AC controls...someday.

I went looking for a four hole under-dash gauge panel...crickets! Nope - not NAPA, not JC Whitney, not Summit, not Jegs, not anyone but Mooneyes Equipment and they get theirs from Offenhauser and want over $50. I was going to buy it then stopped by the shop doing my rewiring to find my dash panel had come and was labeled from "DocsKustom.com". BINGO! They had it polished for $19.95.

Just thought I should post that this is where Chevs (and probably Jim Carter's) is gettinp their hotrod parts. Hope the info helps someone else, Dan

The problems we face today can not be addressed at the same level of intelligence we were at when we created them - Albert Einstein Or with the same level of $ - Me
