I turned the light switch but the light stayed on....had to pull the bulb.....what is that about. Tomorrow its back under the dash to check it out....any ideas before I start.

Turning the light switch knob clock wise brightens the dash lights and all the way turns the dome light on. No idea how cleaning up the wiring under the hood would affect the dome light. The dome light wire doesn't go under the hood at all, not on factory wiring. The Dome light wire should go down the kick panel under the matting above the rocker panel and up to the Dome. Hope that helps.
